“I have been learning with IHYA for over 6 months now, and I have been very impressed. Coming from another Arabic teacher who did not have as much of a grasp of the English language, it was a breath of fresh air to have someone that can explain concepts to me in such an easy and concise way. I have learnt much through easy, fun and structured lessons. My teacher Hamza is also always enthusiastic and one can see he enjoys his job thoroughly. I highly recommend Hamza as a language teacher.”

-Adam, 32, School Teacher

“Learning Urdu with Hamza has been a great experience. Hamza is very patient and tailors each lesson to the student. For me, I worked on building connection with my Pakistani heritage and being able to express complex ideas. The teaching exposed me to poems, stories about partition, and culture that I was able to speak to me family about. Most of all Hamza's knowledge of culture changed how I viewed my ability to connect with, not just my parent's heritage, but my heritage. For example, we listened to Munir Niazi's 'Der kar deta huun main' which was a very meaningful experience. Hamza's teaching showed me that learning more complex Urdu was achievable and worth it! I would definitely recommend learning Urdu with Hamza if you want to make significant gains, learn about an amazing culture and make a great friend.”

"I wanted to get back in touch with my Pakistani roots and master Urdu, and alhamdulillah working with IHYA was truly a blessing. I learnt from the fundamentals up, with a patient, flexible teaching style every step of the way. Would highly recommend! "

I have been wanting to learn Farsi for some time now but was unable to find the right instructor. I found the perfect teacher for me in Hamza as he could interchangeably explain things in Urdu and English to me, which is a perfectly tailored learning experience for me being a bilingual with some strengths in Urdu and some in English. I’m still in the beginning of learning the language, but in experiencing the teaching methodology at IHYA, I’m sure I can master the language very soon and move on to deeper texts that drove me to learn Farsi in the first place.

“I was drawn to learn Arabic out of a raw curiosity mainly. It is a language that I’ve always been intrigued to study given its widespread use and rich historical tradition. Upon learning that Hamza had begun teaching Arabic, I decided that this was a perfect opportunity for me. His teaching method is inspiring and motivating, as his passion for the language and for others to learn it. While I only managed to study for about half a year I managed to get a grasp on reading Arabic rather quickly and found a fascination for the grammar and structure that I wouldn’t have found enlightening, if not for Hamza’s rich contextualisation and thorough explanation.”
